CASE STUDY
TMR MODULAR BUILDING PROJECT
Queensland Government's Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is upgrading many of its roadside rest areas and truck stops. These sites typically have toilets, shelters, picnic benches and basic facilities allowing drivers to have a rest while on a long drive.
TMR selected Ecoflo's 903 model rest stop buildings as a basic design for toilets using a combination of composting toilets, mains services and dry vaults. A total of 14 buildings were supplied between May and September 2021. Ecoflo scaled up production to meet TMR's order and timing needs, running two shifts per day and some weekend work to make sure all buildings were delivered on schedule.
